12th Annual Columbia Snow Challenge in Chile

08/24/2024

On August 24 we held the 12th Annual Columbia Snow Challenge, the largest multidisciplinary mountain competition in Chile. This year the event, which took place in Valle Nevado, included the categories of Backcountry (ski and snowboard), MTB Avalanche (cycling), Paralympic Ski and Snow Running (5K and 10K races). This year’s theme was “The mountain is for everyone”, emphasizing the importance of inclusion in outdoor sports. With the collaboration of the Wheel the World Foundation, Columbia, Royal Guard Beer and the Chilean Ski Federation, we held an adapted skiing clinic, which also included demonstrations from outstanding Paralympic athletes. Renowned athletes participated in this year’s Columbia Snow Challenge, including Isidora Assler and Miguel Catalán, a Paralympic athlete who participated in the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games.
