Forus was distinguished today, for the second year in a row, with first place in the Consumer sector category of the IMPULSA Talento Femenino Award, organized by PwC Chile, Fundación ChileMujeres and LT-Pulso. The IMPULSA award seeks to highlight companies that promote the inclusion of women in the workplace: companies that both hire more women and promote career development, according to publicly available NCG 386 data from the local securities regulator Comisión para el Mercado Financiero. Macarena Swett, member of Forus’ Board of Directors, and Marisol Céspedes, Deputy CEO of Forus, received the award on behalf of the Company.
“First of all, we want to thank Fundación ChileMujeres, PwC and the newspaper El Pulso for honoring us for the second time with this wonderful award. Also, we would like to say that we work at a company where gender is not an issue, where we have women in leadership positions throughout the organization, beginning with two honorable members of the Board of Directors to many women in our stores and our Distribution Center”, said Marisol Céspedes upon receiving the award. In fact, Forus stands out for the number of women on its Board of Directors, in senior management positions, in its stores and, across the board, throughout the company. Of the total number of workers, 54.7% are women and 45.3% are men.
The award ceremony featured roundtable conversations with the participation of Mónica Zalaquett, Minister for Women and Gender Equality; Ignacio Briones, Minister of Finance; Francisca Jünemann, President and Co-founder of Fundación ChileMujeres; Renzo Corona, Principal Partner of PwC Chile; and Rodrigo Cárdenas, Editor-in-Chief of LT El Pulso, who moderated the roundtables.
