Why Forus is the retail stock with the highest increase in 2009?

A pleasant surprise have had the investors of Forus, the company controlled by the Swett family and that manages brands such as Hush Puppies, Azaleia and Rockford among others.
The company’s stocks have profited +34.9% so far this year, surpassing basically every other companies in the local stock market.

Very influential is the entering of Wal-Mart to D&S, that has made a rearrange in the retail investors portfolio by the AFP , who sold all the stocks they had in there.
And in the market is being commented that, like AFP, it is seen with interest industries like Forus, which doesn`t have a credit business, that makes it less risky at relative terms when compare with the rest of the retail.
To which it`s added the fact that Forus is facing the economic crisis with zero debt and with millions in cash balance, according to a fact given by Forus in September 2008.
